Well the holidays are finally here. No, my Christmas tree is not up yet and no feast has been prepared, but you know the holidays are here when your inbox becomes flooded with “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” emails. Cyber Monday is a wonderful concept, but it seems that to get the best deals you have to actually go to the store (aka Black Friday). However, the problem with this le Friday noir is that they keep bumping up the start time. It was Friday 5am, then 4am, then midnight, and now there are some stores that are starting their Black Friday deals on Thursday afternoon! What better way to spend Thanksgiving than camping out in a tent outside Best Buy for 12 hours so you can save a hundred dollars on that new 50″ TV? Don’t get me wrong, I am all for saving money and finding deals, but I think we as a society have gotten some of our priorities mixed up when we are standing in line all day to buy stuff instead of spending time with family and friends on Thanksgiving.
So, in order to try and get things back on track, Cincinnati Dowel has proudly decided to close our retail store Thursday and Fright and offer our Cyber Monday deals online early! We shall call it…. Black Cyberday Weekend-ish! (Side note: I realize this isn’t the most catchy of names, but I have turkey on my mind and it was the best I could come up with. Also, we don’t really have a retail store, but that is neither here nor there.) From Thursday November 27th thru Monday December 1st, we will be offering 20% your entire order. Just enter “SALE20” when checking out. To my recollection, this is the biggest discount we have ever offered, but what the heck, ’tis the season of giving right?
If you don’t have any upcoming projects that require dowels, remember that we offer a wide range of different products that might be of interest. Also, feel free to check out our Pinterest page for some DIY craft ideas that use dowels. The internet is literally overflowing with DIY Christmas decorations that you can make using something as simple as wood dowels.
So have a happy Thanksgiving, eat lost of turkey, and enjoy your Black Cyberday Weekend-ish courtesy of Cincinnati Dowel!!!
